I, i was a game he would play He brought the clouds to my day Then like a ray of light You came my way one night Just one look and i knew You would make everything clear Make all the clouds disappear Put all your fears to rest Who do i love the best? Don't you know, don't you know You got it all over him You got me over him Honey it's true There's just you You must have been heaven sent Hearing me call you went Out on a limb And you're all that he's not Just look what i got Cause you got it all Over him No, don't let him worry you so Once i met you i let go Oh you can surely see You're so much more to me Just one look and i knew You would make everything clear Make all the clouds disappear You're better than all the rest Who do i love the best Don't you know, don't you know You got it all over him You got me over him Honey it's true There's just you You must have been heaven sent Hearing me call you went Out on a limb And you're all that he's not Just look what i got Cause you got it all All over him (you got it all over him, you got me over him) Honey it's true there's just you You must have been heaven sent Hearing me call you went Out on a limb And you're all that he's not Just look what i got Cause you got it all All over him
Turn away from the crowd and it's fruitless pursuit of fame and gold. Never look back as you close your door to the sorry tumult of greed and ambition. Wipe away your tears of failure and misfortune. Lay aside your your heavyloads and rest until your heart is still. BE AT PEACE already it is later than you think, for your earthly life. At best, is only a blink of an eye between two eternities. BE UNAFRAID nothing here can harm you except yourself. Do that which you dread and cherish those victories with gratefullness. Concentrate your energy, to be everywhere is to be nowhere. Be carefull of your time, since it is your greatest treasure. RECONSIDER YOUR GOAL before you set your heart to much on anything. Examine how happy they are who already posses what you desire. Love your family and count your blessings. Reflect on how eagerly they would be sought if you did not have them. Put aside your impossible dreams and complete the task at hand no matter how distasteful. All great achievements come from working and waiting. BE PATIENT GOD's delays are never GOD's denials. Hold on hold fast, know that your paymaster is always near. What you saw, good or evil, that you will reap. Never blame your condition on others. You are what you are through your choice alone. Learn to live with honest poverty, if you must. And turn to more important matters than transporting gold to your grave. Never meet trouble halfway, anxiety is the rust of life, when you add tomorrow's burdens to today's their weight becomes unbearable. Avoid the mourner's bench and give thanks instead for your defeats. You would not receive them if you did not need them. Always learn from others, he who teaches himself has a fool for master. BE CAREFUL do not overload your conscience. Conduct your life as if it is where spent in an arena filled with tattlers. Avoid boasting, if you see anything in you that puffs you with pride, look closer and you will find more than enough to make you humble. BE WISE realize that all men are not created equal, for there is no equality in nature. Yet no man was ever born whose work was not born with him. Work everyday as if it were your first. Yet tenderly treat the lives you touch as if they will all end at midnight. Love everyone, even those who deny you. For hate is a luxury you cannot afford. Seek out those in need. Learn that he who delivers with one hand will always gather with two. BE OF GOOD CHEER above all, remember that very little is needed to make a happy life. Look up, reach out, cling simply to GOD and journey quietly on your pathway to forever with charity and smile. When you depart it will be said by all that your legacy was a better than the one you found.
I began to see how strong I was to find my way back as God led me, how complete I was because of my family and friends, and how satisfied I could really be because of all that God has blessed me with. There is more to life than we could ever imagine and experience. I had more of my life back and appreciated it more when "I said goodbye to LOVE".

When it rains it pours and opens doors And floods the floors we thought would always keep us safe and dry And in the midst of sailing ships we sink our lips into the ones we love That have to say goodbye [Chorus:] And as I float along this ocean I can feel you like a notion that won't seem to let me go Cause when I look to the sky something tells me you're here with me And you make everything alright And when I feel like I'm lost something tells me you're here with me And I can always find my way when you are here And every word I didn't say that caught up in some busy day And every dance on the kitchen floor we didn't have before And every sunset that we'll miss I'll wrap them all up in a kiss And pick you up in all of this when I sail away [Chorus:] And as I float along this ocean I can feel you like a notion that I hope will never leave Whether I am up or down or in or out or just plane overhead Instead it just feels like it is impossible to fly But with you I can spread my wings to see me over everything that life may send me When I am hoping it won't pass me by And when I feel like there is no one that will ever know me there you are to show me Cause when I look to the sky something tells me you're here with me And you make everything alright And when I feel like I'm lost something tells me you're here with me And I can always find my way when you are here
Lots of people in this world do not take the time to appreciate and enjoy this day that they are living in.They place their happiness and enjoyment in life in the future as if it is something that they will attain after reaching certain plateaus or achieving landmarks in their lives. The important thing we must remember is that tomorrow is promised to no one and we are to make the best of each day as it comes before us.We are to see today as the best days of our life no matter how many hardships are in our paths trying to bring down our spirits. The Bible declares in Psalm 118:24,"This is the day which the Lord hath made;we will rejoice and be glad in it." God did not ask you to rejoice in the past or tomorrow. We are to rejoice in this day that God has given us and try our best to make the most of what we have been given now. (James 4:13-16;Psalm 33:1-15) Hear Captain Jean Picard: "Time is a companion that goes with us on a journey. It reminds us to cherish each moment, because it will never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we have lived." If you have been placing your happiness in the future, waiting for some events to take place,i will remind you that today is the best day of the rest of your life (Romans 12:1-2;Psalm 51:10-12). Celebrate today! Use your best clothes and drive your best car today, not tomorrow! Stop worrying about that future event! Appreciate your spouse today! Forgive someone today! Start that project and take that decision today! Sing and dance today! Smile and laugh today! Today is the best day of your life.
Then Jesus said, “Let’s get away from the crowds for a while and rest.” There were so many people coming and going that Jesus and his apostles didn’t even have time to eat. Mark 6:31 (NLT) *** *** *** *** Jesus experienced enormous stress and pressure, yet it didn’t seem to disturb his peace of mind. In spite of opposition, constant demands, and little privacy, his life reflected a calm sense of balance. What was his secret? Identification – Know who you are (John 8:12) Eighteen times Jesus publicly defined himself. There was no doubt in his mind as to who he was. If you are unsure of your identity, you’ll allow others to pressure you into their molds. Trying to be someone you’re not causes stress! Dedication – Know who you want (John 5:30) You can’t please everyone. Even God can’t! Just about the time you get “Crowd A” happy, then “Crowd B” willbe upset with you. Jesus never let the fear of rejection manipulate him. No one can pressure you without your permission. Organization – Set clear goals (John 8:14) Jesus said, “I know where I came from and where I am going.” (NIV) Preparation prevents pressure, but procrastination produces it. You work by either priorities or pressures. Concentration – Focus on one thing at a time (Luke 4:42-44) You can’t chase two rabbits at the same time! Jesus knew how to handle interruptions without being distracted from his primary goal. Delegation – Don’t try to do everything yourself (Mark 3:14) We get tense when we feel it all depends on us. Jesus enlisted twelve disciples. Don’t allow perfectionism, or the fear that others may do a better job, to keep you from involving others in the task. Meditation – Make a habit of prayer (Mark 1:35) No matter how busy Jesus got, he found time to get alone to pray everyday. A daily quiet time is a great stress decompression chamber. Use this time to talk to God about your pressures and problems, evaluate your priorities, and discover the rules for successful living by reading the Bible. Relaxation – Take time to enjoy life (Mark 6:30-31) Balance is the key to stress management. Work must be balanced with fun and worship. © 2008 Purpose Driven Life. All rights reserved.
Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jephthah. ~ Judges 11:29a We've all heard stories of individuals who have overcome extreme hardship during their childhood years. Children of alcoholics, orphans who never have parents, loss of parents to a fatal crash, childhood disease. These are all difficult circumstances to overcome. Jephthah was a man who overcame his obstacles and refused to allow his circumstances to prevent him from becoming great in God's sight. He was born to Gilead, a result of his father's adulterous encounter with a prostitute. Gilead's wife, who had bore more sons, decided to reject Jephthah, and drove him away from their home saying, "You are not going to get any inheritance in our family because you are the son of another woman." Imagine the rejection this young man felt as he was cast away from his own family. This experience taught Jephthah to become a hardened warrior. Today he probably would have been part of a street gang. As he got older, his reputation as a warrior became known to those in his country, so much so that when the Ammonites made war on Israel, the elders of Gilead went to Jephthah and asked him to be their commander. Jephthah had to fight off those feelings of rejection from previous years. "Didn't you hate me and drive me from my father's house?" he responded. He overcame his hurt and pain, and responded to the call God had on his life. It is said that if we were to help the butterfly remove itself from the cocoon, the butterfly would not be strong enough to survive. It is the struggle that prepares the butterfly to become strong enough to fly. Without the struggle in the cocoon, it could not survive as a butterfly. The Lord prepares each of us in similar ways. Some of our childhoods seem to have been harsh and born from a seemingly unloving God. However, the Lord knows our struggle and will make our life an instrument in His hand if we will follow Him with an upright heart. He does make all things beautiful in His time if we are willing to be patient.
One businessman complained and said: "The other night, my wife and I were going out for dinner." She put on eyebrow pencil, eye shadow, eyeliner, eyelashes, mascara, toner, blush and lipstick, then turned to me and said, "Does this look natural?" Men find it hard to understand women and that's the beauty behind it, the mystery of discovery. Another one said, "Today is the fifth anniversary of my wife's 39th birthday." Now you tell me whether you can understand that or not. Have you ever watched Fashion TV? When I was still with the garments industry my wife and I watched a great deal of them and I realized that we were watching many of the world's most beautiful women. The clothes may not be great all the time but when these women wear it and walk with it, the beauty comes out. The next thing I discovered is that many fresh and young faces would walk the ramp. And it's only a matter of time before the once hot faces disappear from the scene only to be replaced by the younger ones. NO amount of cosmetics could ever fight off a woman's terror and trepidation: aging. Age catches up with everyone and there's no exception to the rule. One woman I know who is in her mid-forties prohibits her children to call her mom. She commanded that all of her grown up kids call her Auntie…and of course it breaks the children's hearts. I wonder how long she could stay in the stage of denial. Yes. Some people live in denial and somebody says it correctly that denial is not a river in Egypt. Vanity? A refusal to face one's real age? Mirror…mirror on the wall, who's the prettiest of them all? What an unforgettable scene in the immortal Disney Classic Snow White. Are women vain? Some are of course and then some are not. Today there are many men who are vain too. Look at the rise of cosmetic products for men. The cosmetics industry is a major money making industry this is itself would reveal the fact that men and women do pay a lot of attention to how they look. It is important to look good especially when you are in the work place. In my seminars I always warn my audience to be wary of speakers who say otherwise. When you hear speakers tell you that "beauty is not important…I can assure you that the speaker is ugly." Of course beauty is important and we have to make ourselves presentable. The way we look represent the company we are working for. But looking good is not as important as being good in person and character. I got me an article that deals with this issue. The title is How Females Look in the Mirror. Age 8: Looks at herself and sees herself as Cinderella/Sleeping Beauty. Age 15: Looks at herself and sees herself as Cinderella/Sleeping Beauty/Cheerleader or sees fat/Ugly. (Mom I can't go to school looking like this!) Age 20: Looks at herself and sees "too fat/too thin, too/short/too tall, too straight/too curly" — but decides she's going anyway. Age 30: Looks at herself and sees "too fat/too thin, too short/too tall, too straight/too curly" but decides she doesn't have time to fix it, so she goes anyway. Age 40: Looks at herself and sees "too fat/ too thin, too short/to tall too straight/too curly"- but says: "At least I'm clean" and goes anyway. Age 50: Looks at herself and sees "I am" and goes wherever she wants to. Age 60: Looks at herself and reminds herself of all the people who can't even see themselves in the mirror anymore. Goes out and conquers the world. Age 70: Looks at herself and sees wisdom, laughter and ability, goes out and enjoys life. Age 80: Doesn't bother to look. Just puts on a purple hat and goes out to have fun with the world. That's the way to live life. But why wait until 80 to develop this great attitude? Beauty is in the character not on the skin. A wise guy says: Beauty always comes from within—within jars, tubes, and compacts. That's not what I mean. A French proverb says: Beauty without virtue is a flower without perfume. True beauty is that which reflects the beauty of Her Maker. A godly life and a great positive disposition. Who can resist such charm? You don't need those low waist-hip hugging-panty revealing jeans to be beautiful. Show the love of Christ and exhibit His character by being a woman of virtue and I can assure you you're beautiful anytime all the time. So relax. Be happy and be beautiful.
